Dolphins Agree To Four-Year Deal With Turner
The Dolphins have agreed to terms with rookie wide receiver Patrick Turner on a four-year deal.
Miami has rewarded the third-round pick with a deal worth roughly $2.3 million, including a signing bonus of more than $700,000, an NFL source confirmed.
"Now it's just football," Turner said. "That stuff is over and done with; it's a good feeling."
Jets Remain Interested In Burress
The Jets are still taking a wait-and-see approach with free-agent wide receiver Plaxico Burress.
Sources say that New York is waiting to see what comes of Plaxico's legal situation, and that they are unlikely to make a play for him if he is suspended for a lengthy period of time.
However, if Burress escapes major suspension and gets his legal situation cleared up, the Jets are expected to be among the most likely suitors.
Buccaneers Aren't Interested In Burress
Buccaneers general manager Mark Dominik says that the team isn't currently interested in Plaxico Burress.
Tampa Bay is looking for receivers to back up starters Antonio Bryant and Michael Clayton.
"We're going to let Brian Clark, Maurice Stovall and even Dexter Jackson compete and go from there," Dominik said.
Harrell Still Hoping To Land With Browns
Former Texas Tech quarterback Graham Harrell is still hoping to catch on with the Browns.
Harrell is hoping for a free agent contract and that Cleveland bring him into training camp with a shot to make the team.
However, the Browns have yet to officially contact the quarterback about a possible offer.
Clemons Close To Signing With Dolphins
The Dolphins appear close to signing rookie safety Chris Clemons to a contract.
"We don't anticipate any issues," agent Kevin Conner said Friday night. "There are a couple of minor details that need to be finalized."
Clemons was a fifth-round pick out of Clemson.
Suggs Hopes To Have Deal By Camp
Terrell Suggs hopes to have a long-term deal in place with the Ravens by the starting of training camp in late July.
Baltimore has until July 15th to get Suggs signed to a long-term deal. If they don't, Suggs would have to sign his franchise tender and wait until the season is over to sign a new deal.
"I feel like we're getting close," Suggs told BaltimoreRavens.com. "Negotiations are going on with the Ravens. Fans can be optimistic that I'll be [at training camp]."
Rosenhaus: Five Teams Interested In Burress
Agent Drew Rosenhaus says that five teams are interested in signing free-agent wide receiver Plaxico Burress.
Rosenhaus issued the comment via his Twitter page.
"There are now 5 teams interested in Plaxico. I expect more teams to enter the mix over the next few weeks as well," Rosenhaus wrote.
Another Denial From Favre's Agent
Agent Bus Cook has denied yet another report that Brett Favre has already signed with the Vikings.
After denying a report on ProFootballTalk.com earlier this week, Cook shot down a similar report by WCCO-TV.
"Nope," Cook said in an e-mail to the Pioneer Press.

On Sunday, agent Bus Cook denied a report on ProFootballTalk.com that Favre had signed a deal with Minnesota.
The Vikings equipment manager has already ordered number 4 jerseys with Favre's name on them, according to WCCO's source.
Jennings, Packers Are Finalizing Deal
The Packers are believed to be finalizing a contract extension with wide receiver Greg Jennings.
The extension would keep him in Green Bay through the 2012 season.
Jennings will reportedly make $27 million in additional money as part of the deal. In the final year of his rookie contract, he was set to make $535,000.
